Escort Interpreting Practice In The Eighteenth Session Of China Fisheries&Seafood Expo In2013

Interpreting has gained its irreplaceable position by the rapid development ofmulti-relationships between countries in all fields such as economy, politics and culture.The rising international status of China and the great effort that Chinese Governmentpaid in this area have attracted a lot attention for interpreting.For the appearance of exhibitions on different themes in recent years, it widelycatches the attention of interpreting enthusiasts and learners. More and more people arefocusing on how to be a qualified escort interpreter, what qualities they shouldoccupy,what interpreting strategies and skills they should learn to use.Different with the popular conference interpreting, escort interpreting is more"unfamiliar". Compared with the rigorous court interpreting，escort interpreting is moreflexible, which comes to regular tour guiding, important contracts signing. After all,escort interpreting has played an important role in communication of our life.According to the survey, competent escort interpreters are far from meeting the greatneed.This report is based on the author’s personal experience of participating in theeighteenth session of China Fisheries&Seafood Expo in Dalian. The writer hasanalysed the whole process of interpreting, encountered problems and typical cases.The writer hopes that the strategies which mentioned in this thesis will provide areference for interpreting learners.
