Contrastive Analysis Between The Practical Need Of Chinese Volunteer Teachers In Thailand And The Pre-job Training Courses

In this paper, through the issuance of " working and living problems of Chinese volunteerteachers meet in Thai " to investigate the problems of the volunteer teachers meet during theactual work and life experience, the proportion of volunteers experiencing these problems on thequestionnaire, the impact of volunteers’ living and working situation and the time length of theaffected.Then these issues will be compared with the content of pre-service training courses andthen make specific recommendations for training courses.According to analyze the survey result, this article find all the causes of problems can beconcluded be two aspects. First, it’s Chinese volunteers’ professional competence of Chineseteaching and class management. Second, it’s problems of cross-cultural adaptation, includinginteract adaptation work adaptationAfter the comparison between cause analysis and content of training courses, the articlesummarizes two deficiencies. One is the lack of specific and practical content of courses. Thereare no training about school management, characteristic of students, class rule, studying habitsand so on. Some courses are too theoretical. Some skills which learned in those course cann’t beused immediately in the classroom. The detail will discussed in the text. Another is the lack ofsome courses, including classroom management strategies, cross-cultural communicativecompetence training courses, and the information of school management, Chinese courses,student characteristics, human environment and so on.Finally, from the both perspectives that including the lack of specific and practical contentand the lack of some courses, the article offered some specific and detailed proposals for the sixparts, including "elements of Chinese language teaching","classroom teaching","cross-cultural""teaching practice"," Chinese culture ".We hope these suggestions can be beneficial to improve training effectiveness, shorten theadaptation period of volunteers. Volunteers can be better and faster to adapt to local Thai schoollife and work, and then complete the volunteer tasks with better quality of service.
