This is a report of a translation project, whose source text is Virus of the Mind——the New Science of the Meme. According to the whole context and the style ofwriting, the title of the book is translated as无所不在的模因in Chinese. There aretwelve chapters in total and the translator has finished the translation work of Chapterfive, Chapter six, Chapter seven and Chapter eight. It is a social-science text thatexposes the science of memetics, in which the author expresses his own opinions andalso relates meme to the real life. There are large amounts of abstract nouns andconcepts, long and complex sentences and passive voice.
