A Report On The Translation Of Urban China: Toward Efficient, Inclusive, And Sustainable Urbanization

This is a translation project report. The source text is Urban China: Toward Efficient, Inclusive, and Sustainable Urbanization, which is co-produced by the World Bank Group and the Development and Research Center of the State Council of China. This report gives resolutions to the problem China faces and gives recommendations to Chinese policy makers. A new developing pattern is proposed in this report, which is essential for China’s transition. This report is divided into four parts: The first part is the introduction to the project report, including introductions to the background, goals, and the significance of the project; the second part is the introduction to the author, as well as the introduction to the main content and language style of the source text; the third part is about difficulties in translation and the translation methods applied in the translation. During this part, the author, under the guidance of Skopostherie, takes advantages of all kinds of translation methods during the work and aims to shed light upon the translation of similar texts. The last part is the conclusion.
