This is a translation project report of World Happiness Report: Chapter 2 World Happiness:Trend,Explanation and Distribution and Chapter 3 Mental Illness and Unhappiness by John F Helliwell, Richard Layard and Jeffrey D Sachs. The source text reflects the ranks of global happiness index in 2013, and analyzes the reasons for ranking, thinking that mental illness is the biggest cause of unhappiness but often is overlooked by authorities, the third chapter analyzes in detail the aspects of mental illness. By the translation of the original text, we can understand the living conditions of residents of the world currently, and it also has a guiding role in the development direction of China’s economy.
