| As one kind of translating, Interpretation referring to the activities where transfer the primitive information quickly and accurately that the translators received with verbal expression into the target language.,plays a role of medium among different communicators and is a basic way of communication in across social, cultural and national exchanges in contemporary society. Compared with written translation, interpreting has more flexibility and time requirements. The interpreter needs to receive information from the speaker’s language, facial expressions, tone and gestures, and adjust the words and the way of thinking according to the site conditions and atmosphere. With the in-depth exchanges of various cultural and social fields in the world, the interpretation has enormously developed as it is the most effective method to help people increase communication, and to remove the obstacles.Today, caused by the fast progress of media technology, the demand for the translation of interview TV programs are also growing, however, quite contrary to the prosperity of other programs translation practices on this field, the advancement and researches of interpreting on interview programs are backward and fairly limited. The article is a consecutive interpreting practice report, in which the author chooses the China’s first domestic high-end interview program Yang Lan One On One as the practice material. After getting acquaintance with content of show, the author practices with the audio materials. Given the limited length of the thesis and the need to analyze, the author picks four episodes as the text objects of the case analysis. The major interpreting method combines free translation with other translation theories.In this study, the author firstly gives a brief introduction to the task, and the nature and features of the source language as well as the reason of topic selection. Then the author states the preparations made before the interpretation and the process of interpreting, including the analysis of former episodes and the collection of the guest background. Combining the interpreting procedure and pinpoint instances, the author analyzes and sums up the spoken language, folk adage, difficult sentences and cultural-special words which belong to guests’ areas of expertise. Finally, the report discusses strategies for solving the problems summarized in the process of interpreting.In recent years, the domestic interpreting has achieved speedy improvement in China. Nevertheless, there is still a small amount of interpreting practice reports. Through the consecutive interpreting practice, according to the study of theory and practice, the author improves the understanding of the interpretation and gets familiar with the text style of TV interview program material, interpreting strategies and methods. Based on the combination of specific instances of consecutive interpreting procedure, the purpose of this paper aims to puts forward feasible methods to advance the quality of interpretation. It is hoped that some cases and coping strategies in this paper can be helpful for the future interpretation learners as well as scholars in the field of interpretation, also can make a significant contribution to the progress of interpreting. |
