Preparation for interpreting has been proved to be able to reduce the cognitive effort of the interpreter effectively and improve the performance of the interpreter.Since exhibition interpreting,as a very common form of interpreting,which involves various unpredictable conversations and emergencies and requires a large amount of preparation,has been paid less attention than conference interpreting,this research conducts a survey investigation on the preparation work of exhibition interpreting of 57 Interpreting students who entered GDUFS at the year of 2017.In order to explore the specific contents,methods and the inadequacies of preparation for exhibition interpreting of the subjects,this research resorts to two methods: questionnaire and interviews and draws a conclusion based on the data reflected in the tables and charts.In accordance with the collected materials and data,this research aims to provide guidance for students who want to interpret for exhibitions to help them avoid detours and improve their interpreting performance. |
