The rapid transmission of information makes network enter every aspect of people’s life. As Chinese attracts more and more attention from the world, there are more and more learners of Chinese. For Chinese learners who are living in places without Confucius Institute or unable to learn Chinese, network classes that teach Chinese for foreigners are their first choice to learn Chinese. The comprehensive course of Chinese for foreigners is one of the primary courses for developing comprehensive abilities of Chinese learners. However, the teaching hours are inadequate. Consequently, network classes are playing a beneficiary supplementary role to traditional classroom teaching.While focusing on the network teaching of the comprehensive course of Chinese for foreigners, this paper has designed class teaching for lesson two (MaDing kan zhongyi) of Road to Success:Lower Elementary for elementary comprehensive course of Chinese for foreigners under the model of network teaching while giving consideration to teaching characteristics of the course and theory of network teaching of secondary language. Moreover, this paper has made a comparison between network teaching model and traditional classroom teaching model and summarized the pros and cons of network teaching upon the design of network course teaching. Thus, this paper is aiming at making the design plan for network teaching of Chinese for foreigners be referentially valuable for application of network courses of Chinese for foreigners in the teaching of Chinese for foreigners in future.The first chapter of this paper has primarily discussed the origin, significance, content and methodology of this research. The second chapter has introduced the theoretical foundation of network teaching of Chinese for foreigners, such as development states of teaching of second language in China and foreign countries, online teaching model of second language and advantages of teaching second language network; meanwhile, these theories are briefly described and analyzed in this chapter. The third chapter has illustrated the design of network course of Chinese for foreigners and the principles. The fourth chapter is based upon teaching design comprehensive course of Chinese for foreigner from network. In this chapter, MaDing kan zhongyi is analyzed and designed with the model of network teaching as an example. This fifth chapter has summarized pros and cons of network course of Chinese for foreigners and put forward some teaching suggestions. The sixth chapter is the conclusion part that has concluded issues studied in this paper and pointed out directions for in-depth researches in future considering limitations of this paper.
