Translation Strategies Of Tour Guide Presentation Of Longchuan Scenic Spot

In recent years, the tourism of Jixi has developed at a fast speed and Longchuanscenic spot has attracted a lot of tourists, including many foreigners. Under thiscircumstance, the translation of the related tour guide presentation becomes anecessity. In this whole tour guide presentation, there are two important factors: manycultural factors and typical language factors. The handling of these two factors is veryimportant for the quality of the presentation. The aim of the study is to have asummary of the translation strategies.First is the translation of cultural factors, which include material culture andspiritual culture. And material culture is composed of culture of natural scenery andartificial structure, while spiritual culture includes culture of fengshui, society andfamily spirit in this tour guide presentation. Because material culture can be seen, ittends to be retained during the translation. But spiritual culture needs to be felt by theheart, so it needs to be explained. Then is the translation of language factors, whichinclude two aspects: the translation of language with Chinese characteristics and thehandling of language style. Language with Chinese characteristics refers to what isparticular in China, which includes four-character structure, ancient poetry and wordscreated by our Chinese people. Literal translation, free translation and explanatorymethod are often used during the translation process. Because tour guide presentationis a kind of practical writing, it has its own language style:be colloquial, accurate,visualized and interacted, which will influence the translation process. And in thisaspect, literal translation, free translation and supplementary translation are often used.As a report of translation work, after translating the Longchuan tour guidepresentation, this paper summarizes the above translation strategies, which may havesome implications to the related translation work.
