A Report On C-E Translation Report Of The Tour Guide Presentation Of Weishan(Part 2)

With the acceleration of global economic growth and international exchanges, the transnational tourism has become an important trend. According to the related statistic,Yunnan is the top ten areas in the rank of receiving inbound tourists in 2015. During the developing tourist industry, the translation of the tour guide presentation receives due to attention.This is a report on the C-E translation of the Tour Guide Presentation of Weishan provided by Weishan Tourism Department. Translator translates the second part that mainly introduces historical sites, building feature, folk custom and special snack in the ancient town. On the basis of the second part, this report presents the process of translation practice covering description of the translation task, pre-analysis and case study, and summarizes the experience gained in this translation practice.This report is divided five parts: Part one is the description of the translation task, including background and significance of the translation task, and analyzes emphatically the content and type of source text; Part two introduces translation process which covers the preparation of the translation, translation process, problems and difficulties in the translation task, and revision; Part three introduces the translation theoriesused during the translation process and translation principle of the tour guide presentation; Part four provides example to find out the difficult points in this translation, such as architecture culture, local custom and special snack; Part five summarizes the experience gained in translation and unsolved problems.
