As a typical construction,“V ge VP” has attracted much attention of manyscholars because of its uniqueness in formal grammar. The constructive property ofits overall construction has also become the debating focus of scholars. In addition, itis because of its constructive uniqueness that this construction becomes a difficultyfor international students in their Chinese learning process. In respect to the problemsdiscovered, this thesis makes its research from the following two aspects:The research on modern Chinese noumenon. The existing research findings areclassified. That the construction form of “V ge VP” is reasonable to be a predicate-complement structure is explained from the perspective of structure and grammar.The semantic function and pragmatic function of the whole “V ge VP” structure areinduced and concluded from the perspective of Cognitive Construction Grammar.Research on strategies of the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.Abundant research results of noumenon are applied to the teaching of Chinese as aforeign language. The specific working process of “V ge VP” structure in teaching isexplicated and the laws of points for attention are clearly highlighted so thatinternational students can learn and master the structure quickly and efficiently.
