With The Water Related Proverbs Compara Tive Between Korean And Chinese

Proverbs are an important part of Korean and Chinese. They are produced in long-term production and life, but also the most representative part of the history and culture of both countries. Korea and China are located in the East Asian cultural circle, but there are many differences between the two languages and cultures. Proverbs just can well reflect these differences and provide some help for learners. ’Water’ is an essential resource for daily life, and there are many ’water’ related proverbs, but comparative study is relatively rare.This thesis takes the ’water’ related proverbs as the research object, select 168 cases of Korean proverbs and 213 cases of Chinese proverbs and literal translate the Korean proverbs one by one, seeks to compare with the Chinese proverbs scientifically. Firstly, classify the two countries’ proverbs acording to significance and campare with them. Secondly, through performance characteristics angle, contrast the ’water’ related proverbs of Korean and Chinese, analyses similarities and differences in the expression of proverbs. Finally, through form angle, compare the ’water’ related proverbs of Korean and Chinese, analyses the cultural differences between the two countries’ proverbs. This thesis has five chapters, the main content is as follows:The first chapter is an introduction, including research purpose and meaning, scope and methods of research, the first study on the Korean and Chinese proverbs.The second chapter classify the two countries’ proverbs acording to significance and campare with them. This thesis contrasts them in sure meaning and negative meaning.The third chapter is the comparison of ’water’related proverbs. According to the performance characteristics, classify the two countries’ proverbs. This thesis contrasts in’rhyme, duality, hyperbole, metaphor’four angle. Find out the similarities and differences and analyze the reasons.The fourth chapter compare the ’water’ related proverbs of Korean and Chinese through form angle, analyses similarities and differences in the expression of proverbs and analyze the reasons.The last chaper is conclusion, concludes the whole thesis.So far, Korea and China have many studies in the proverbs comparison, but almost no thesis about water related proverbs comparison. I hope that through this thesis, it will provide some help for learners in language learning and paly an active role in the understanding of cultural differences between the two countries.
