Addition Technique In Chinese-English Consecutive Interpreting

The author finds that many problems in Chinese-English consecutive interpreting can be solved with the help off addition technique. Based on Adaptation Theory, this thesis tries to analyze the application of addition in press conference interpretation during the annual NPC & CPPCC sessions in recent three years to solve the problems met in interpreting practice. The author finds that addition technique is applicable not only to press conference interpreting but also to interpreting on many other occasions.
