This is a translation report on the first three chapters of You Can Negotiate Anything written by Herb Cohen, a celebrated American negotiator. Herb Cohen puts forward some strategies and methods for success in negotiation, which are helpful to our life as well as work. He mainly introduces what negotiation is and several strategies which can be used in negotiation. Under the guidance of Skopos Theory, the translator has discussed some problems she came across during the translation by giving some examples.This thesis mainly consists of three parts: translation report, source text and the Chinese translation.This translation report consists of four chapters. Chapter One is an introduction to the source text and its author. It also discusses the significance of this translation report. Chapter Two introduces the translation process, the feature of the work, followed by a brief introduction to Skopos Theory which guides the translation. Chapter Three mainly elaborates difficulties the translator came across in translation. In the last chapter, the translator summarizes the experience during the whole period from finding the translation material to finish.
