On The Influence Of Zhou Shoujuan’s Translation Activity To The Creation

Zhou Shoujuan, as one of the representatives of the"Mandarin Duck and Butterfly School",was a prominent translator and writer in the the early Republic of China. As one of the early literary schools in the Chinese literature history, "Mandarin Duck and Butterfly Schoo;" had long been left in the marginal position in modem Chinese literature Research and their contributions were often neglected. By gathering information of Zhou Shoujuan’s translation activity, the author analysis the influence of translation from the aspects of notion and style, trying to link the translation and the creation. We can realize that Zhou Shoujuan has many important contributions in the Chinese literature history.Being based on the Zhou Shoujuan’s translation activity, the paper proposed a basic thought from the aspects of notion and literary style. The essay falls into three parts. The first part summarize the translation activity from the aspects of background, amount, countries and writers involved and selection of material.By collecting the translation materials,we can know and understand Zhou Shoujuan.The second part analysis the influence from the aspect of notion.The first segment deals with the western elements in the works of Zhou Shoujuan. The second segment deals with the western thought.The third part analysis the influence from the aspect of literary style. The first segment deals with the influence from the aspect of narrative angle.The second segment deals with the influence from the aspect of narrative method,including the application of diary, letter and flip chip. The paper may contribute to the cognition to the Zhou Shoujuan and his creation.
