Fuzzy Language And Its Translation In Informative Text

Fuzziness widely exists in nature, society and human thinking, it is an objective attributes, and it is also one of the characteristics of nature language. Fuzziness of language including translation standard, understanding of the source language, and target language expression, it poses many problems for translation. Fuzzy linguistics is a new discipline, it is closely linked with translation, the combination of Fuzzy linguistics and translation would facilitate the development of translation theory and translation practice.In this thesis, I start from the perspective of the characteristics of fuzziness in language, and pointed out that the uncertainty, inaccuracy, and relativity of fuzzy language in both English and Chinese. Fuzziness of language mainly embodies in phonetics, semantics and syntax. This thesis combined with the translation material “What Is Really Behavioral in Behavioral Health Policy? And Does It Work?” And discussed three kinds of fuzzy language phenomenon: fuzzy words, fuzzy fixed expressions and fuzzy syntactic structure. Then the author put forward several kinds of E-C translation methods of fuzzy language, such as literal translation, liberal translation, Addition, and omission.In the process of translation, the translator must accurately identify and understand all kinds of fuzzy language in the source language and target language, adopt the appropriate translation method, to solve the contradiction caused by the differences in English and Chinese languages, so as to convey information completely and accurately. Fuzziness of Language often hinders the work of translation, bring challenges to translators, so the translators are exploring on the translation of fuzzy language.
