Chinese has been receivedgreat attention by more and more countries and people.In the spreading of Chinese, it is important to adopt effective methods of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Therefore, this paper based on the research of theory of lexical chunks and takes the developing Chinese advanced comprehensive course I as the practical basis. It can not only provide references for Chinese as a foreign language teachers in the advanced language teaching process but alsocontribute to Chinese language learners’ expressive ability of comprehensive improvement. This paper is divided into four parts. The first part mainly introduces the research background, research purpose and research content of this thesis, as the main results. The second part, the author studied the theory of lexical chunks in details, which includes domestic foreign language research development of lexical chunks theory, overview of lexical chunks theory and Chinese language ontology research. At the same time, this article from the definition of discourse, discourse teaching, present situation of teaching Chinese as a foreign language discourse teaching and existed problems of Chinese as a foreign language study.In the third part, the paper takes the application of lexical chunkstheoryin language teaching as a major role in the study, which research from the necessity of lexical chunks in language teaching as well as the application of the principle aspects. The fourth part, based on the study of lexical chunks theory and discourse teaching, this paper use thedevelopment of Chinese advanced comprehensive teaching material to analyze discourse and potential block theory. According to this basis, the thesis design the teaching plan and teaching cases as well asprovide teaching reflection and expectation.
