This report is based on the translation practice of part of Showa Agriculture Technology Development of Paddy Cultivation (2).The major contents of the version include paddy planting agricultural modernization from Meiji period to Showa period, breeding, seedling cultivation, fertilization, pest and weed control, machinery fertilizer, land use, nursery field servicing, etc. This report focuses on the translation and translation analysis and explanations of rice seedlings and cultivation technology part in the third chapter.Firstly, the project description is wrote to elaborate the background of the translation task, including the nature of the translation task, the specific requirements of the translation task, the nature and characteristics of the text; and to descript completion of the translation case including preparation, translation work duration, quality control methods and processes etc. Secondly, the report mainly includes four chapters:The first chapter mainly includes translation background, objective and significance; the second is a review of the research question to elaborate accomplishments and advancements that have been made in this relatively new field; the third is description and analysis of translation process, including pre-translation, translation methods, and post-translation; the forth, the major part of this report, in view of the process of translation practice in combination with specific case analysis, including terminology translation and long sentence translation, elaborates the use of translation methods; and final part of the report concludes that the difficulties of agricultural history translation in the progress due to the understanding of the original text and inter transformation. Preparation, interpretation and translation methods, eventually forming the high quality translation.
