New HSK6 Reading(一) Guidance Strategy Research

HSK(Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi), which can detect and evaluate the level of Chinese, is a famous language test for non-native speakers’ abilities of using Chinese.HSK, launched by NOCFL( the Office of Chinese Language) and Confucius Institute headquarters in Nov. 2009, has been very popular at home and abroad. As a result, test scale and reference number present the increasing trend year by year.HSK6 is the highest level of Chinese proficiency test. Overseas students encountered massive problems during the preparation process of HSK6 examination.Thus, the author implements researches in the difficult reading(一) aspect of HSK6 according to their generally reflection, besides, the author finds the frequent test points, key points and difficult points at the same time, the author inductives ill-formed sentence type and develops targeted strategies and counseling method by analyzing and concluding the numerous past exam papers. What’s more, the author would tutor ten overseas students from different countries of Hebei Normal University institute of international cultural exchange in order to further verify the scheme and analyze the relative influencing factors of HSK6 reading(一).The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1) The introduction part includes the reason and significance of the topic, the literature review, an overview of the predecessors’ research results and pointing out the further research space. Finally, the research methods.(2) The first chapter summarizes the nature, role and significance of HSK and the brief introduction of reading(一) of HSK6, including the purpose and impact of the test, length and question type of the test in the whole HSK6 test component and more. In addition, the author analyzes the ill-formed sentences and concludes three types and eight specific ill-formed sentences combined with the past exam papers:1. word-using error(content word error, function word error, conjunction word error); 2. Syntax error(sentence constituent deficiency, special sentence structure error, semantic expression error, the arrangement of the word order error and sentence hybridity); 3. Semantic expression or logic errors(Semantic expression or logicerrors). What’s more, The author analyzes the ill-formed sentences in the reading(一)of HSK6 according to the collected 22 sets past exam papers and summarizes regular test points, key points and difficult points in learning Chinese according to the statistical data analysis and overseas students’ feedback.(3)The second chapter provides priority to grammar explanation relying on vocabulary learning, step by step in stages, class focusing and individual tutoring after class, case tracking and more appropriate counseling strategies and methods of guidance on the theory basis of the modern Chinese linguistics and second language acquisition and the basis of the ill-formed sentence types and the regular test points,key points and difficult points in the past exam papers of HSK6 reading( 一).Additionally, the author selects ten overseas students for guidance and collects the 22 sets past exam papers of HSK6 reading(一)as guidance materials to counsel students by combining the target language rules and inter-language errors step by step.(4)The third chapter presents an overview of each small phase of counseling effect and compares the early and late test score statistics in the whole process of tutoring. Further more, this paper verifies the counseling strategies by comparing the test scores between the early and late reading test from each training stage and each overseas student individual Chinese learning effect and summarizes the effects of the different national language culture backgrounds, individual factors and the problems in setting the HSK6 test in the guidance process of learning HSK6 reading( 一),pointing out some problems in the HSK6 reading(一).The paper can help Chinese learners to solve problems encountered in HSK6 and reveals that learning Chinese basic knowledge in a well-grounded way is the only shortcut to acquire excellent results in the examination of HSK6. At the same time,the paper can provide some useful reference of counseling for TCSL(Teaching Chinese as a Second Language) teachers.
