Practice Report On Simultaneous Interpreting Of President Xi Jinping’s Speech At Informal APEC Economic Leader’s Meetings

Nowadays, International conference has become an important way to world political and economic and cultural exchanges, and the participants from different countries, with different cultural backgrounds, thus interpreting activities has played an important role in connecting country and country. November 2014, the APEC Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum was held in Beijing, at the first informal meeting of leaders, Xi Jinping, the chairman of China delivered his opening speech to the leaders and officials from different countries, and the media friends.In his speech, he firstly welcomed the participants from all over the world, then he reviewed the contents of the 2013 conference of the Federation of Indian APCE, he made an analysis and prospect for China’s economic development, and puts new suggestions to the cooperation between countries and have an outlook on the international development.In the process of the speech’s simultaneous interpretation from Chinese into English, the author have some new comprehension about the flexible usage of the interpretation theory and methods through the preparation of the interpretation, the adjustment in the process of interpretation, and the review and analysis of the interpretation.The author get some professional enlightenment of meeting interpretation works, then puts forward some tentative suggestions for simultaneous interpretation word and interpretation study training.
