The Research Of Teaching Chinese Characters To Students With No Chinese Character Background

Chinese characters is an essential part of the Chinese language. Nowadays there are plenty of different researches and materials dedicated to the methods of teaching Chinese characters to foreigners. Nevertheless, Chinese characters are the most difficult part of the language.Chinese characters are one of the most difficult parts of the language referring to the students with no Chinese character background. These students have never dealt with characters and do not have any idea how to memorize the Chinese characters once they start studying Chinese.Chinese characters are of great importance. If you can not write them you do not master the language. That is why we have chosen this topic for the research. The research includes several parts:preparation,thus sending the questionnaire to the students, analyzing the results and basing on the results of the survey we can develop the research aim and strategy.Our research is divided into five parts:The first part introduces the study on teaching characters to foreign students, highlights the purpose and significance of the research.The second part is dedicated to the analysis of the questionnaire results, students" study characters situation, we surveyed students’ mistakes in writing characters. According to the analysis we found out the peculiarities of Chinese characters study, students motives and tactics of mastering the Chinese characters.The third part of this research represents the analysis of the present teaching methods and strategies.The fourth part focuses on the effective methods of teaching characters on different levels and developing teaching materials.The fifth part sums up the results of the research.
