| This English-Chinese translation project selects Inditex Annual Report 2014 published on the INDITEX official website as its source text. Established in 1963, Inditex is one of the largest fashion retail groups in the world with eight brands below it. With the globalization of the world economy, learning and analyzing of domestic and foreign annual reports in the business sector is of great significance for Chinese enterprises.The enterprises annual report has caused the great concern in China. But the translating of annual report texts has not drawn wide attention, though. Fresh attempts are made to conduct analysis of this texts, in hopes of summarizing the features of such texts and proposing some strategies for translating such texts. In this thesis, the author has translate more than 10,000 words(E-C). Based on the translation and analysis of the source text INDITEX Group Annual Report 2014, the reflective report consists of three parts. The author solves the problems in the translation by applying strategies of amplification, reversion, restructuring, combination and other kinds of strategies. The last part of the paper summarizes the report on how the translation process has enlightened me and the deficiencies of the translated version. |
