Teaching Chinese grammar to foreigners is based on the studies of modernChinese grammar. This paper detailedly describes the syntactic structure of existential sentence and its pragmatic function according to the current research of the modern Chinese grammar. In addition, I have concluded the teaching grammar of existential sentence using summary in this paper and its basic forms which are you-sentence, shi-sentence, V+zhe-sentence and V+le-sentence. Besides, I make the error analysis in order to find out what causes the error and how to correct it. Then I design the teaching project from it. This teaching project involves sentence meaning, syntactic structure and pragmatic function. It also offers the teaching steps for orders which are grammar leading-in, grammar explanation, drills practice, examine of effect and supplementary interpretation. This is the basic explanation of my teaching project. I eagerly look forward to there will be some new leads in this field.
