The existential structure is a distinctive sentence structure in Chinese language. And also,"Shi" sentence is rather special in the type of existential sentence structure, which is hard for Chinese language learner to master and which is usually used wrongly by learner. So far, there are tremendous study achievements of "Shi" sentence. But, there are not so much research in acquisition of "Shi" sentence, not mentioning the fact that teaching design of "Shi" sentence is rarely involved in the field of Chinese as second language teaching. As the increasing number of Chinese learner, Chinese language teaching is developing fast. Under this circumstance, this article aims to solve the problem of how to design "Shi" sentence teaching and exercise to enable learners to master it quickly and correctly. With this goal, the article begins with features study of "Shi" sentence in Chinese as second language teaching by way of literature method, and deals with the matter of arrangements of "Shi" sentence both in syllabus and textbooks. Then, analyzes errors that Chinese learners would probably make. Thus, in hoping of practical using, this article will finally give a teaching design of "Shi" sentence in classroom teaching.
