The sentence "you" and "shi" that indicate the meaning of existence is one kind of the existential sentence.They are considered one of the hotspots of the modern Chinese grammar research,and one of the difficult subjects when it comes to teaching Chinese as a foreign language.There is a big difference between the two languages when indicating the meaning of existence,and there is no "existential sentences" in Arabic,but there are some sentences that indicate the meaning of existence.For Moroccan learners,they often make mistakes when they learn these two sentence.This paper first sorted out the previous studies,and then compared and analyzed the characteristics and differences of these two sentences from the syntactic,functional and semantic aspects.It slao compared and analyzed the differences between the Chinese existential sentences "you" ? "shi" and the counterparts in Arabic.The results of the questionnaire survey showed that Moroccan learners lack of in-depth understanding for syntactic structures and semantics of "you" and "shi".The main points of high-frequency error-prone points are as follows: confusing the sentence "you" and "shi" which expressing the universality,confusing different presuppositions and internal structures for these two sentences and so on.The main types of errors are omissions,addition,overrepresentation and misordering,including omissions of "you" ? "shi" ? "noun of locality",and mistakenly added "position of the word" and so on.The main causes of these errors are divided into six types,the negative transfer of mother tongue,the complexity and approximation of the knowledge of the target language,the over-generalization of the target language knowledge and other external factors such as teaching materials,teaching and test item types.Based on the results of the survey,this article has made a teaching design aimed at the "you" and "shi" sentences,focusing on explaining and practicing the mistakes that may easily appear in the test papers of the Moroccan students.It is hoped that theteaching of Chinese in Morocco and even other Arab States will be provided some teaching reference.
