A Report On The Translation Of Mindsharing:The Art Of Crowdsourcing Everything (Excerpts)

This translation report is based on the book of Mindsharing: The Art of Crowdsourcing Everything written by Lior Zoref, a crowd wisdom researcher in Israel. Through analyzing the translation difficulties at three levels(lexical, syntactic and textual), the translation of polysemic words, proper nouns, new words, figurative sentences and long sentences, as well as textual cohesion are discussed and summarized.This translation report is a detailed description of the whole translation process, mainly including four parts: description of the source text, process description, case analysis and conclusion. The last part is the conclusion of the whole translation practice, which mainly talks about the experience and lessons learned in the whole translation process. This will provide a practical guidance for the future translation work.
