This translation report is based on the book of Mindsharing: The Art of Crowdsourcing Everything written by Lior Zoref, a crowd wisdom researcher in Israel. Through analyzing the translation difficulties at three levels(lexical, syntactic and textual), the translation of polysemic words, proper nouns, new words, figurative sentences and long sentences, as well as textual cohesion are discussed and summarized. This translation report is a detailed description of the whole translation process, mainly including four parts: description of the source text, process description, case analysis and conclusion. Firstly, this translation report describes the translation task in detail, including the selection of the source text and features of the source text. Then the report provides a comprehensive description of the translation process, including the preparations phase, details of the translation process and proofreading. The most important part of this report is case analysis, in which the translator analyzes the translation examples at the lexical, syntactic and textual levels. This part also describes the translator’s thoughts during the translation process, and the choices of translation methods and translation skills. The last part is the conclusion of the whole translation practice, which mainly talks about the experience and lessons learned in the whole translation process. This will provide a practical guidance for the future translation work.
