By the quantitative and the qualitative research methods, with the help of the corpus technology, this paper studies five representative words of the plants in semantic field. They are’Su’,’Dou’,’He’,’Gu’,’Cong’. To Contrast and analyze the five words meanings in Modern Chinese Dictionary (sixth edition). To the meanings of these five words distribution situation for research. At the same time, the research results will be used for teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and design the corresponding teaching strategies for these foreign students.We hope that can offer to help the international students for the plant of vocabulary teaching Chinese as a foreign languageThe article is divided into three portions.The first portion introduces the current research situation, from similarity of vocabulary to comparatively study six words in the Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary,1 st-8th Edition. On that basis, we find out the meanings of the Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary,1 st-8th Edition on the similarity degree is very low.The second portion is from part one to part five and they successively study the five study objectives. We extract 13119 statistics of Su, totally 731998 words, then propose an increase in the three semantic items; we extract 12274 statistics of Dou, totally 1170422 words, recommending increasing in the two semantic items; we extract 2251 statistics of He, totally157476 words, advising adding in the three semantic items; we extract 10787 statistics of Gu, totally 10335477 words; we extract 10853 statistics of Cong, totally 1027978 words, recommending an increase in the two semantic items. On that basis,we combine the lexical semantics theories to interpret the new meanings. The research results willpplied to the teaching Chinese as a second language by specific methods and the designs of the practice.The third portion is the epilogue of the whole paper, this part points out the innovations and inadequacies of this article.And these five plant words,distributed situation, will be regularly summarized...
