Study On The Election Of Villagers Committee In China

The election of villagers committee is in accordance with the Constitution andlaws of the organization of rural governance and behaviors, the legal system by theelectorate is the directly elected grass-roots mass self-government organizations--villagers committee. The election of Villagers Committee on the basis of the villagerautonomy system, is an important embodiment of villagers’ autonomy.Since the1998"Village Committee Organization Law of villagers committeeelection", in most parts of the country began to carry out the village committeeelection, the electoral system to actively explore and practice, and has made greatprogress, not only in the ideological awareness on improving democracy electionconsciousness, but also in the law extends the scope of voter registration and inpractice to enrich the campaign. However, the election of villagers’ committees inmany problems still exist in the theory and practice of standardized operation, from alegal point of view, mainly the lack of independence, freedom and justice threeaspects. In view of the main problems, the author analyze the causes from the threeaspects of idea, system and economy, and puts forward some suggestions to perfectour village committee election system and accordingly. These recommendations arechanged from the concept, principle and perfect the law three aspects to perfect thesystem of village committee election, hope in the country, village and townshipauthorities and the villagers joint efforts, realize democratic election of villagerscommittee goal.
