Since the1980s, China’s rural grassroots democracy autonomy system has beenchanged historically.The Village named He-Zhai pioneered the villagers’ autonomousorganization and system, as a result, it was known as “No.1of Chinese village” for itsvillagers autonomy. So far, Chinese farmers has stepped on the most extensivepolitical practice stage, and the political truly become the " Everyone’s Business (saidby Sun Yat-sen)",and the practice of democracy, based on citizenship, starts to takeroot in the rural areas. However, due to the confine of the tradition which has beenexisted for thousands years, traditional farmers’ practice in grassroots democracycannot can be completed in a short time. What’s more, taking modern democracy intotheir ideas, culture and daily life will face great difficulties. At present, under thebackground of villager autonomy in the new century and the new situation, how tomake peasant’s political participation develops healthily and orderly has become anew topic with realistic significance.The report of the17th Party Congress has regarded the mass self-governmentsystem as one of four socialisms with Chinese characteristics. The paper begins withthe villagers’ political participation which has strong partialness and variousapplications, then ponder over the promotion of the body’s ability to participate inpolitics multidimensional in the construction of grass-roots democratic systemengineering, which can not only promote China’s democratic progress, but alsopromote the construction of new socialist countryside.The author chooses a case of a village in Eastern Henan as the research object, andtreats the present development condition of the village-N in the eastern as the objectresearch, carries on the analysis combined with the actual situation of the rural areas.The author points out the phenomenon of low participation rate in the process of villagers’ autonomy, analysis the causes, and answers the question historically andsystematically from the aspect of subjective and objective.On this basis, the authorputs forward the relevant measures to solve the problem of political participation invillager autonomy and countermeasures, such as develop the rural economy in orderto provide the political participation for the villagers autonomy, and constructmodern political culture in rural areas, so as to improve the villagers’ overall quality.This paper is divided into five parts. The first part is the introduction includingthe research background, the research purpose and the significance of this research.The second part mainly summaries the related definition of related notion as well asthe domestic and foreign related research. The third part is mainly about the results ofthe survey, which is the problem of political participation of villagers. The fourth partexpounds the causes of villager’s political participation problems from the aspectssubjective and objective. The fifth part is the countermeasures of the farms politicalparticipation. The seventh part is a summary.
