The Research On Rural Women’s Participation In The Village Committee System For Village Cadres And Their Work

Since the modern Western bourgeois Enlightenment thinkers put forward the concept of Human Rights for the first time, human rights was been known by all human beings and became the goal for the next few centuries of human movement. Women, as a significant part of human members, absolutely deserve the asylum in the concept of human rights and enjoy the same rights as men.The outbreak of the May Fourth Movement, not only for our country sent the advanced Marxist ideology, also brought advanced feminist thinking to women who have lived in the cultural shackles of feudal society in China. In order to fight for the realization of their rights, many women have participated in the social, economic and political life. On July23,2012Chairman Hu said that we must insist on the lead-ship of the Communist Party of China, insist that the people are the masters and master their own’s affairs, and also insist on running the state according to law. And he also emphasized the widely development of people’s democracy and Building democratic politics at the grass-roots level in rural areas with democratic election, decision-making, administration and supervision as the basic contents then promote it in an all-round way, and develop steadily.So according to current social and political background, I put forward the issue of my paper and focus the main idea on the democracy at the frass-roots level in the present stage in China. As the village committee election is the most direct and obvious manifestation of the democracy at the grass-roots level, and rural women are the very important members of rural labor, the primary coverage of my paper will lies in researching the question of rural woman’s participation in the grass-roots election and work in village committee. The whole paper will be divided into four parts including the introduction of background knowledge, the current problem, the reasons and the solutions. Interviews, questionnaires, and literature researching are the mainly methods of my paper. In the interview, i talked with the chairman of the village committee and women cadre in details, and issued200questionnaires. All the data used in my paper are firsthand information.The innovation of this paper is to grasp the whole process of the10villages’ committee elections of Zhonghe Street in Xiushan County, which includes the proportion of rural women were elected to fill key posts, as well as the work carried out. When we observe the whole process, we will have a complete viewpoint of the problem, and find out the reasons then solve it.
