The Study Of Community Building From The Perspective Of Social Capital

Community is not only society’s "cell", and is related to social stability, is one ofthe cores to build a harmonious society. The success of community building, build upthe community consensus and promote trust and cooperation among communityresidents, to build community self-governance mechanism, to reach communityautonomy, undoubtedly of great significance to the building of a harmonious society."Community Integrated Creation" of Taiwan is similar to the communitybuilding in the mainland China. Especially in the last ten years, community integratedcreation in Taiwan has achieved great success. Its community integrated creationcreates consensus and trust among community residents, so that the communitybecomes an integrated community, at the same time constructs self-governancemechanism, achieves autonomous communities.Its success lies in community socialcapital has been accumulated and growth. Social or social welfare department is thepromoter in community integrated creation of Taiwan. The Government invests incommunity building through the power of scholars and experts in related fields orprofessional bodies, so the nongovernmental forces, especially the non-profits are themain force of community integrated creation. Because of the non-profit organization,the "community network active","community norms establishment "and "communityof trust construction" have been promoted, which reaches community consensus,mobilize the enthusiasm of the community residents to participate in the public affairs.Taiwan’s experience shows that the nongovernmental forces, especially the non-profitorganization can play a key role on promoting the formation and accumulation ofthese factors and can achieve obvious resultsIn this paper, we will analyze deeply the star community of Taiwan’s communityintegrated creation-the process of Taomi’s community integrated creation, byanalyzing their successful performance, as well as the ways of success, combining thebasic conditions of the domestic community building. I hope that it can provide areference and inspiration for community building in the mainland China from thesuccessful experience of Taiwan.
