Incentive Analysis And Strategy Research Of Environmental Group Events

Along with the rapid and stable development of China’s economy, politicalreform has been in a critical period. But group events came out one after the other inrecent years, and caused great damage to the social orders and the government’scredibility. Environmental group events’ severity is particularly prominent which isone of the branch of mass incidents, and it makes more difficult to handle forgovernment because of increasing the amount and hazardsEnvironmental group events cannot be as a normal event to be analyzed isolately,but in-depth and comprehensive interpretation as a social phenomenon. It seems to bestakeholders in the demonstration to the government. In contrast, more of a group ofunrelated persons of interest help stakeholders together to urge the government tosolve environmental problems and protect the public environment interest.This paper analyzes the environmental group events’ present situations andcharacteristics, participants’ psychological and behavioral patterns, causes andsolutions strategy.(1) A conflict occurs between the public environmentalconsciousness and the lack of environmental common sense, and not trusting thegovernment deteriorates the conflict.(2) The deterioration of the environment at thepresent stage, a low level of public participation in environmental and soon providesthe conditions. Government’s lack of preparation in advance, post-event excessivetolerance and compromise makes environmental group events like a virus in thedomestic short-term rapid infection.(3) Solving the environmental mass incidentsshould be the result of the government, the media and public joint efforts: governmentdoes most of the emergency measures, but also considerers the event deeply.Government should plan properly from the roots, access system strictly. Media shouldbe self-regulation based on objective facts avoiding one-sided guiding. The publicshould be more awareness of legal knowledge and prevent a few people instigatingcriminal activities.
