Evaluation And Perfection Of Sichuan Province Court Judgment Quality And Efficiency Evaluation System

Justice and efficiency is the fundamental purpose of justice for the people.Recent years,the situation that less staff handle more cases is becoming more and more prominent, and the people’s need for the rule of law is also increasing. In order to improve the management of the court, realizes the fundamental purpose of the justice for the people, the courts at all levels in China began to develop and gradually perfect the quality of court trial and efficiency evaluation system. The court began comprehensively the quality of court trial and efficiency evaluation system in 2010 in Sichuan Province for establishing a long-term management mechanism, standardizing the procedures of the court trial, evaluating quality of court trial objectively for trial and management work in court. The author thinks that there are some problems when setting up and operating the efficiency evaluation system, for example,evaluation body is not clear, the index structure of assessing is unreasonable, the misapplication of evaluation results,and the supporting measures is imperfection, etc. We should adjust the weight reasonably of trial quality and the index structure of efficiency evaluation system, reduce duplication of evaluation as far as possible, improve the supporting measures as well as expand the scope of the evaluation, introduce the evaluation from outside world, improve the reference of the evaluation system on decision-making procedures of court management work.
