The Study On Supported Employment Of Disabled People In China

The program for the disabled in China has achieved great progress since the year of reform and opening up. Especially in recent years, the basic survival and development of the disabled has been significantly improved, which marks that the development of the disabled have gradually entered a new stage. The employment of the disabled is one of their basic rights. At present, it is not only an important mission of the program for the disabled but an important content of social construction to promote the employment of disabled, strive for the elimination of cognitive prejudice and social discrimination, promote the strategy of social integration of the disabled, and realize the target "equality, participation, sharing" ultimately.Under the circumstances, by taking full consideration of ability and interest of the disabled and keeping its choice of the premise, supported employment(SE) helps the disabled engage in the competitive work in the integrated environment. This kind of employment has achieved great attention, which plays a positive role in promoting social integration and promoting the development of the program of the disabled in China. But it is worthwhile to notice that SE has got rapid development and achieved good results in foreign countries, especially in the USA, but it is still in the initial stage in China with its not completed theoretical study and a series of problems in the actual process of development. Consequently, the study on the development of SE for the disabled is particularly important to put forward strategies to promote the employment of SE according to the concrete national conditions of China. This study mainly consists of six parts:Chapter 1 clarifies the purpose and significance of the research, gives a literature review at home and abroad on SE and points out the limitation of research, and further introduces the research ideas and methods.Chapter 2 summarizes and expounds the related concepts and theories, which is a certain theoretical basis for the study of the problems and solutions of SE.Chapter 3 analyzes the development of SE in China. This part analyzes the situation of SE mainly focus on the development in Beijing, Hunan province and Guangdong province.Chapter 4 gives a positive value about the development of SE in China and on its road of advance, China still faces arduous tasks and various difficulties.Chapter 5 introduces the development of SE of the disabled person abroad, and has analysis of the experience of SE. Combined with domestic actual situation, the paper makes a summary of the enlightenment for China.Chapter 6 puts forward the development strategies of SE based on reference to current situation and foreign experience.
