Since American is the world’s largest energy consumer country, and the American enhance dependence on foreign sources of energy, so all the previous American Government always pays high attention to the energy policy. American government makes energy supply security as the important part. Because of the turmoil of Middle East would threaten American energy security of supply, and in order to get rid of dependence on the energy of Middle East, the American Government began to seeking the position that can replace the Middle East, and the emphasis of American external energy policy is seeking energy supply diversification. While the Africa and the central Asia regions are the key area for the American energy diversification strategy.9·11 incident, highlights the position of the Africa and central Asia in the global geopolitical situation, and they had become the key areas for the American to maintain global hegemony. So in the 21st century, the American used the excuse of terrorism to achieve the Africa and central Asia regions, and through political、economical、military means, strengthen the control of resources in these region, weaken the influence of neighboring countries in these regions, pave the way for American diversification energy supply security strategy.This article divides four parts. These energy policies not only make American get the oil and gas resources, and the security of energy supply of the American has been protected, but also promotes economic development and political reform in the Africa and the Central Asia. In addition, China also get some inspirations from the adjustment of energy policy of the American to the Africa and the Central Asia. In the enlightenment of China, except strengthen the relations between China and the overseas energy suppliers, and incentive Chinese oil companies to invest to the Africa and the Central Asia, it also should enhance the construction of military force of China, to protect the energy security of China.
