The Research On Urban Community Home-Based Care For The Aged In China Under The Background Of Aging Population

As the aging problem becomes more actuate, more and more senior citizens live alone which adds the burden for society and family. Traditionally, the old people were supported by their families or liven on pension. However, the old modes can no longer fit in the development of the society. Communities emerge as a new part in providing service of supporting aged people.Home-based elderly care services is a supplementary measure for society and family care service. The thesis focus on the structure and improvement of community care service. First, the thesis will state the current situation and the feature of the aging problem in China and the impact on the traditional mode of elder care service. The community care service is now the best choice of China. Secondly, the thesis present the necessity of popularizing the community mode as the development of aging problem, the diverse needs and the deterioration of Home-based mode.Take Rugao, Jiangsu as an example, the thesis concludes some experience and feasible modes within the community.
