History of the development of human society is a history to constant challenge to overcome the disaster on a certain extent. Therefore, to improve the capacity of disaster prevention and mitigation, emergency response is the major task facing the whole mankind. But as the most severe earthquake often caused massive casualties and economic losses, pose a huge threat to development of economic society and people’s life and property safety.Our country is located in the Western Pacific seismic belt and the Eurasian seismic belt, is a multi earthquake country. How to establish efficiency of the emergency management system, timely and effective prevention, response to the earthquake disaster, has increasingly become a realistic issue faced by our government at all levels. This paper summarizes the development process of China’s earthquake emergency management, analyzes the existing problems in the management of earthquake emergency response, earthquake emergency management experience from the domestic and foreign advanced countries and regions, From the fast, efficient angle, effective response to the point of view,the paper put forward some pertinent and operable suggestions, to further improve the China earthquake emergency management system has certain reference value and practical significance.
