In the rapidly developing modern international society, there happens an influx and moving of vast population to another parts of the world. Especially it is clearly to see in the case of China with fast growing population, the lack of the land and job places etc. With China-Russia’s relations developing in the fields of politics, economy, military and other aspects, the question of immigration to the Russia’s Far East and Siberia has become a more and more urgent question in the relations of our neighbor countries. In the 150-year-old history of Chinese immigration to Russian Far East, Chinese immigrants became an important part in trade, construction, mining, agriculture and other fields. They are a great contribution to the development of Russia’s Far East. At the same time, Chinese immigrants have been considered as a threat to the security of Russian politics and economy.This paper will study the problem of Chinese immigration to the Russian Far East and Siberia from the political, economical and social science’s points of view. Also, the main goal of this study is to determine whether Chinese immigration is an opportunity or a threat to Russia. Moreover, we shall try to find some ways to solve this question in order to promote China-Russia’s prospering relations.
