The Study Of Farmers’ Political Participation From The Perspective Of New Rurl Construction

Political participation is the main symbol of political civilization in modern democratic society. Since the reform and opening, the party and the government attaches great importance to the political rights of the farmers, and points out that in our country farmers’ political participation has a impact on the political culture construction of countryside and the culture construction of grass-roots democracy, and it is also a measure of the state of development of grass-roots democracy. At present, China is building a new socialist countryside, the peasants’ participation in politics is an important part of the new rural construction. The 18th national congress of CPC pointed out that we need to further strengthen the construction of new rural grassroots democratic system, and expanding the orderly political participation of farmers from all aspects. On the political participation of farmers in the 18th national congress of CPC further safeguard the rights of farmers’ political participation, and further emphasized the importance of political participation of farmers in the construction of new rural areas. So the study of peasants’ political participation during the period of the construction of the new countryside is conducive to the construction of grassroots democracy in China, and it is conducive to further promote the construction of the new countryside, and it is more conducive to raising the level of farmers’ political participation.This paper took the Wu Dao Gou rural of the Hohhot Inner Mongolia for example, and it surveyed and analysed the political participation of Wu Dao Gou villagers during the period of the construction of the new countryside by comparison, literature analysis and questionnaire survey. At the same time, the paper summed up that farmers have a low awareness of participation in politics, a weak ability of participation in politics, non institutional participation and participation in a single channel in the process of building new countryside. In view of the above problems, the author analysed the reasons from the aspects of economy, politics, culture and so on. And we put forward the corresponding suggestions according to the problems of peasants’ participation in politics and the causes of the problem. In the new rural construction period, firstly, we should speed up the development of rural economy and lay a solid foundation for the peasants’ participation in politics; secondly, we must improve the farmers’ participation system and guarantee the system of peasants’ political participation. Finally, we need strengthen the construction of political culture in rural areas and expand the internal driving force of farmers’ political participation.
