A Study On The Matters Of Public Crisis Management And Countermeasures For Chinese Local Government Under The New Formal

During recent years, sudden occurrences of public incidents have led to the start of a new research field in crisis management. Especially after General Secretary Xi noted that China had entered the phase of New Normal, social crisis and natural disasters increased corresponding in face of a series of changes in politics, economy and culture. Under such circumstances, government has shouldered the major responsibility on handling these incidents. Therefore, local government, as on the frontier of public crisis, is closely connected with the overall capability of the Chinese government. So under such background, it is important to study on public crisis management of local government.This paper, by souring from theories of public crisis management at home and abroad, will analyze the situation and problems of crisis management in Chinese government.
