In the new period, how to construct university students’ideological and politicaleducation interaction mechanism, which is improving the validity of university students’ideological and political education, has been a major theoretical and practical issue in muchconcern of society and academia. Among them, for the drawbacks of the traditionalideological and political education and based on correct use of ideological and politicaleducation interaction rules, the study on how to establish an effective mechanism ofuniversity students’ideological and political education, in which educators and educatedinteract each other as dual subjectivity, was widespread attention.Based on the theoretical basis, which include process of law theory on ideological andpolitical education, learning theory of constructivism and social interaction theory, this thesismade an analysis on the elements of university students’ideological and political educationinteraction mechanism. Process of law theory on ideological and political education revealsuniversity students’ideological and political education is an interactive educational activityparticipated both by educators and educated which objectively exists in it. Learning theory ofconstructivism shows us that the educated have affection on the knowledge of ideological andpolitical education. Interaction not only contributes to knowledge acquisition and knowledgereconstruction. Social interaction theory provides a methodological guide for us on how tobuild ideological and political education interaction. Interactive subject is the core element ofuniversity students’ideological and political education. Interaction scenario is a bridgemaking resonation and connecting the interactive subject. Interactive vector is an effectivetool for transferring interactive information. The three elements work together, interrelated byinteractive sessions that help them to be adjusted and perfected. University students’ideological and political education interaction mechanism is composed of four main elements:interactive subject, interaction scenario, interactive vector and interactive sessions. There are five basic principles to be followed on the construction of university students’ideological and political education interaction mechanism. They’re the scenarios educationprinciple, the elimination authority principle, the positive dependence principle, the publicpresentation principle and the allow fault principle. Building interactive mechanism ofideological and political education should focus on the following five aspects. First, gibingthe educated some real tasks could stimulate interaction demand. Second, setting up learningcommunities is a good way for students to discuss and understand scientifically. It helpstudents to take a deep thinking and make learning more collaborative in order to ensure theenhancement of learning. Third, teachers should actively follow up the guidance. It couldensure continuity and uninterrupted of university students’ideological and political educationinteraction to make positive efforts for reaching a broad consensus. Fourth, provideopportunities for students to show publicly what they learned about ideological and politicaleducation. It helps them learn from each other by sharing. Fifth, mutual evaluation summarybetween students would improve abilities of analysis and solution of practical problems, andhelp them going from perceptual knowledge to rational knowledge. It also helps them to formscientifically world-view, outlook in life and values.
