The Case Analysis Of The ID Names On The University Campus BBS

The names on the Internet are taken from the users own to communicate online and distinguish themselves from other netizens, which signify the identities of the netizens on the Internet. They are derived from the Internet culture and play an important role in net language.BBS forum plays an important part in the daily life of university students, which is also a platform where they can express their true feelings and emotions. The ID names on the forum exist in certain circumstances that demonstrate their individual characteristics, psychology conditions and thoughts and emotions. As far as I know there are many essays about BBS forums in the universities, but we rarely see someone who list the ID names on the forum and analysize them individually.By making a reference of others’research fruits about net names and BBS on campus, I take76223names from the Southwest University BBS forum database and get some ID names at random by applying the methods of stratified sampling and multistage sampling.Then I classify and analysize them from the forms of structure,semantic content and common rhetoric so as to make an induction of the characteristics of the ID names,the culture they reflecting, psychology of the students and their thoughts. The last part of my thesis I point out the problems that exist on Southwest University BBS forum and make some suggestions in hope of more and more students paying attention to their Id names on BBS forum and getting their net names properly.
