With the deepening of the new curriculum reform, According to teaching practiceof S Middle School in Lixian, the author found that there are many problems in theteaching of high school geography, which leading to classroom teaching inefficient orineffective.These problems not only affects the effectiveness of student learning andgrowth, but also affects the development of teachers’ occupation, even affects theteaching quality to improve and further development of school, and restricts thesustainable development of the school, said the longer term is it’s not conducive to theprogress of students and lifelong development.This paper includes four parts: The first part introduce the background of thisresearch, according to the requirement for curriculum reform and present situation aboutteaching and learning in S middle school of Lixian,We must to explore thecountermeasures to improve the efficiency of geography classroom teaching,andprovide a reference for the geography classroom teaching.The purpose is to promotethe professional development of teachers and the efficiency of students’learning.Through the Teaching Optimization theory and Humanism Learning theory, toprovides the theory support for the teachers’ teaching and students’ learning.We must toclear the value orientation about teaching and learning in high school geographyclassroom,which tell us teachers should form in idea which accordance with thecurriculum reform, and make teaching design excellent.The other value orientation isStudents’ learn become more efficiently,"love learning","interested in learning","understand how to learn" and "acquire knowledge"; The second part is theinvestigation of high school geography classroom in S Middle school.Through Thequestionnaire to founding the problem about teaching and studying; The third part is thecountermeasures to solve the problem of teaching and learning in the geographicclassroom; The last part is the summary of this research.This dissertation adopts the method of literature analysis and questionnaire, highschool geography teachers and students in S middle school are act as the object ofresearch.The main questions through investigation found that: Teachers’ teachingmethod is old, They ignore the design of introduction and questions, and lack ofinteraction between teachers and students in the teaching process, and the way thatteachers deal with classroom’ problem lack of rationality, and the organization andmanagement of the classroom can not reflect the subjectivity of students, they have noteffective reflection; Students did not feel the fun in the study of geography, they just learning in passive. They are not very positive in classroom, and lack of interaction withteacher. They are not develop good study habits also, and lack of proper preparation andreview.All of those situations leading to ineffective learning. Another problem is thestatus is not equal between teachers and students in classroom teaching.According to the problems from investigation, The teaching countermeasures inthis thesis mainly include: Teachers pay attention to the design of import andquestioning, and pay attention to the interaction with students, and implement thereasonable classroom management, and make appropriate teaching reflection;Thecountermeasures about study include: Students must be establish a clear learningobjectives to improve the interest of learning. Make preview and review Ongoing toensure the quality of learning in classroom. Concentrate on and participate in classroomactivities. Make exercise properly to reinforce learning effect. Through thesecountermeasures, I hope they can provide reference for future geography classroomteaching.
