| The New Curriculum Reform puts forward the ideas of "learning geography which is useful for life,learning geography which is useful for lifelong development,constructing open geographical courses" and so on.With regard to the geography teaching of junior high school,teachers should apply these ideas as guiding principles to teaching practices.However,under the influence of the pressure of traditional exam-oriented education,most of the junior high school geography teaching is based on knowledge instruction,which is not conducive to the overall development of students’ comprehensive quality.As a result,modern school education especially the classroom teaching is in urgent need of establishing new ways of teaching and realizing the reform of education.Activity teaching is a kind of classroom teaching mode which is put forward on account of the principles of new course as well as the requirements of quality-oriented education.In order to have a more particular knowledge of the current situation about geography classroom activity teaching in junior high school,this study tries to solve three research questions:What is the current situation of geography classroom activity teaching in junior high school?What are the problems and factors that affect the teaching of geography classroom activities in junior high school?What are the recommendations to optimize the teaching of geography classroom activities in junior high school?Guided by activity teaching theories,the author chose four middle schools of Jinchuan G roup Company in Jinchang as research subjects.Through the questionnaire for students,the interview for teachers and the observations for real class learning.It has found that there are several problems existing in the current junior high school geography classroom teaching:the low utilization rate of activity teaching,the insufficient utilization of "activity" resources,the unreasonable design of classroom activities,the unaccurate grasp of classroom activities and the simpleness of evaluation method.B ased on the analysis of the causes of these problems,the author puts forward the teaching idea of geography classroom activities in junior high school,such as improving the comprehensive ability of geography teacher’s activity teaching,perfecting the evaluation system of geography activity teaching,strengthening the collective preparation of lessons,rationally planning geography theme activities and carrying out teacher training,as well as improving self-cultivation.Finally,according to the optimization strategy of activity teaching and the author’s teaching practice for many years,two junior high school geography classroom activity teaching cases are designed,and the practice and effect analysis are carried out.This thesis tries to provide a new idea and method for junior high school geography classroom teaching.lt hoped that more and more junior high school geography teachers can learn from this new idea and method so as to improve the overall quality of junior high school geography classroom activity teaching and enable every student fully participate in the classroom activities.Students can truly experience the fun of learning geography in the activities,and students’ core literacy in geography can also be cultivated. |
