Development of secondary vocational education in Tibet is inseparable from highlyqualified teachers. Teacher training is an effective way to the professional development ofteacher, and is an important part of the teaching staff. But now, there are still some problems insecondary vocational teacher training of Tibet, such as outdated course content, irrational coursestructure, low training effectiveness, dissatisfied training needs of teachers etc. Therefore, itbecomes necessary to study the status of teacher training in Tibet and identify problems andshortcomings of its existence. The research foundation of this article is the problems ofsecondary vocational teacher training in Tibet, and object of study is the teachers of7secondaryvocational schools. There are two aspects of the investigation: one is “what the teacher’s want”,that is, analyzing what the secondary vocational teachers want subjectively; the other is “whatthe teacher’s lack”, namely, analyzing what secondary vocational teacher’s lacks from the currentsituation objectively.Through the analysis of the survey results, it can be summarized that the design ofsecondary vocational teacher training programs in Tibet need theory to guide the cycle of careerdevelopment, and need set according to the different professional stages of secondary vocationalteachers, the current problems in the training and teacher’s own lack of things and their needs.The design of secondary vocational teacher training programs in Tibet should follow theseprinciples: people-oriented principle, the teacher-centered training program as a core principle ofthe design; combining the principles of unity and flexibility; usability principle etc. Trainingneeds analysis is the first step in the design of training programs. In addition, there are theseveral aspects to be done well, such as dividing the training object to maximize trainingeffectiveness; based upon the development needs of teachers to determine different trainingobjectives; according to the training needs analysis, arranging training content reasonably;emphasis on training courses orderly and effective implementation; perfecting trainingevaluation system to ensure the quality of training and so on.Finally, following the principle of universal applicability, this article puts forwardcomprehensive teacher training curriculum mode, then according to the post ability analysis ofsecondary vocational teachers, builds the educational course modules of secondary vocationalteacher training in Tibet, including course module, teaching module, evaluation module,education scientific research module, ethics module and so on, and each module is subdividedinto smaller modules to promote training course into a more scientific and reasonable way.
