The ideological and political lessons of high school have made some breakthroughand innovation under new courses reform background. However, under traditionalteaching concept and examination-oriented system background, there are problems andcontradiction among class time, teaching method, students’ learning attitude and methodsand courses evaluation of the ideological and political lessons. This article aims to analyzethese problems and contractions with the new reform of high school ideological andpolitical lessons. This article will provide the reasons for these problems are analyzed thesolutions them put forward, in order to achieve great success in the new reform of highschool ideological and political lessons. In addition, there produces positive effects onhigh school students’ ideological, political and moral education.The article firstly explores the new course reform of high school ideological andpolitical lessons by introducing five parts as follows: political and legal education, theeducation of ideology, the education of psychology, the education of morality and nationaleducation. Moreover, these five parts play different roles in the process of the new coursereform which is divied into four stages. From this perspective, it draws main part whichfor further analysis of course reform bringing change and contractions. Secondly, thispaper reviews present teaching situation of ideological and political lessons by focusingon reasons and problems of these courses to be solved in need. Additionally, it exploreschange of new teaching material, teaching methods, learning methods of students with thecourse reform. Finally, this article brings up suggestions for further development of highschool ideological and political lessons, and raises new claims on role of teachers,teaching methods, teaching environment and teaching evaluation. In addition, itemphasizes different physical and mental development of junior and high school studentsin order to adapt to different teaching methods.
