Since the founding of the new china, with the change of society, Chinese textbooks forjunior middle school have taken place great changes in terms o f compilation, especially inthe compilation of Chinese modern and contemporary essays. This paper with1992edition and2009edition of Chinese textbooks for junior middle school as an example, triesto explore the Chinese modem and contemporary prose and the reasons of changes, findout the trend and forecast its future changes.First, paper analyzes modern and contemporary proses of the two edition Chinesetextbooks changes, find out the add or delete contents and retain contents, content changespresents obtain the richness and diversity, the change of times and culture, ideology andopenness characteristics; Then analyze the changes in the practice, find2009edition ofChinese textbook comparing with1992edition teaching material, pay more attention tocultivate using and awareness of student’s language, pay attention to the transformation ofknowledge and pay attention to give students more thinking space and so on; Finally, thechange of the reading systems are analyzed, found1992comparing with2009editionteaching material arrangement form innovation and targeted and directivity. Any change isnot for no reason. Therefore, this articles from the curriculum concept in the two periods ofchange and cultural changes, analyzes the causes of these changes so as to draw a selectionof modern and contemporary prose is rich and diverse life experience and the thought ofarticles and beauty of language has become a trend of language teaching material selection;To predict has, literariness and demonstration, the typical and time prose will improve thelanguage application ability is an important part of the language materials in the future.with the study of changes of compilation of modern and contemporary prose for juniormiddle school, in comparison to deepen the understanding of the use language teachingmaterials, to grasp the language teaching material on the whole, to make the textbooks ofChinese materials become a bridge between teachers and students teaching dialogue, so as to improve the students’ Chinese accomplishment and promote the all-round developmentof students.
