The talented persons play a very important role for the construction and development ofevery country, and college teachers assume heavy responsibility in the cultivation of talents.Especially, young teachers in colleges and universities are the key point because of their morecontact and influence with the students. Therefore, the level of young teacher morality has directeffect on the quality of teaching in the university and a considerable impact on the mental andphysical health, the study and work, and the conduct of life for the students.However, with the development of market economy and the in-depth reformation andopening in China, some young teachers’ outlook of the world, life and value has been eroded toa certain extent, and the anomie of the teachers’ morality has become too apparent. The reasonsare as follows: the influence of social environment, the action of university system and therestriction of the young teachers’ own factors. The young teachers not only impart knowledgeand educate people, but also constitute an important component of social life. Their behaviorand ideology have a great of demonstration and guiding effect on the growing of young students.As a result, we must attach great importance to the training of young college teachers’ ethics andthe improving of their morality level, so that they can truly become talent creators.In this thesis, the start point just is the issue of contemporary young teacher morality incolleges and universities. It elucidates the cultivation of young teachers morality based on theinvestigation and review of research on teacher ethics both at home and abroad and inconsideration of the characteristics of the times and with the current development of China’ssocial. The study is divided into five parts: The first part defined the concept of morality and thebasic requirements of young teachers; second part explains the necessity of young teacher ethicscultivation; third section demonstrates the current college teachers moral problems; forth partanalyzes the the reason of current teachers ethics problems; fifth section presents thecountermeasures of young teacher ethics cultivation. Through detailed analysis of these aspectsand discussion of young teachers morality, the overall situation of teacher virtue is achieved acomprehensive study. It theoretically explores to improve teacher ethics and providedevelopment directions, and practically conducts the assessment of the current universityteachers standards and evaluation mechanism.
