In China, rural-urban migrants have long been in the disadvantage situation in many living and livelihood issues, such as life quality and civil rights, calling for equal opportunities for learning and living. Community education in China has just started, community education for rural-urban migrants in big cities is still spontaneous, falling behind the needs in practice. Community education focuses on the progress of quality of all members in the community and improvement of life, so community education for rural-urban migrants in cities should base in the community itself.This paper studies several experienced cases of community education for rural-urban migrants in Beijing, and summarizes and gives suggestions on community education for rural-urban migrants. This is of significant and practical meaning in many aspects, such as setting up an environment for community education for rural-urban migrants, communicating with school and family, facilitating social inclusion and forming the active and healthy atmosphere.This paper surveys in the ways of literature review, interviews, and observation to study the situation of community education for rural-urban migrants and explore the sustainable development of community education for rural-urban migrants, so that a model for community education for rural-urban migrants in Beijing can be found and promoted.By putting theories into the practice, this paper concludes in three points:firstly, different community education model should be fit to local conditions, designed and carried out corresponding with the practical needs; secondly, community education easily begins with children's activities, and should focus on the common problems in the community.3, emphasis on the participation of all community members and the full use of community resources is the vital part for a replicable model of community education.The paper quotes detailed first-hand cases to analyze, bases on the successful ones in Beijing, and studies the model for community education for rural-urban migrants, which is meaningful for both theory and practice.
