Study On The Development Strategy Of Quanzhou Normal University

To meet the needs of social economic development and people’s demands forbetter education, Chinese higher education should be putted into the process ofan overall and profound reformation.The newly-established local universities are important part of higher educationand they’ve been the significant forces of mass higher education in our country.Because of the unreasonable classification, unified assessment standard andincomplete autonomy, as well as the poor foundation, weak base and lack ofinvestment, the newly-established local universities are in the development dilemma.To break traditional thinking and school-running mode, and to realize thetransformation and development are not only the inner-logic of the high educationdevelopment, but also the key points to realize the upgrade development to serve thenational economy in the adjustment process of the educational structure.By adopting the methods of universities and colleges study, interview, documentsstudy, comparing study, comprehensive analysis and the theory of strategicmanagement in enterprises and educational institutions, as well as using thesuccessful development experiences of European vocational technical universitiesand various types of domestic universities for reference, the paper deeply analysesthe transformation in Quanzhou Normal University, and puts forward thedevelopment choices for Quanzhou Normal University from3aspects, strategicobjective, strategic ideas and strategic orientation. The paper designs the strategicimplement measures from9aspects: to construct the discipline and specialty groupsmatching with regional economic development, to establish a new mode oftraining applied technology talents, to cultivate a double-quality teachers’ team, tooffer better practical teaching conditions, to carry on research and innovation ofapplied technology, to accept divers and open school-running ideas, to rebuild ainternal governance structure, to set up a divers input guarantee system and a newsystem of feedback and evaluation.
